With the purpose of standardizing the submission of information regarding savings products requested via Circular SGDB No. 024/2012 of May 4, 2012, the Central Bank of Bolivia notifies financial entities that the information for the fourth quarter of 2012 must be sent to the email address rolmos@bcb.gob.bo in an Excel file according to the attached format and filling instructions.

SAVINGS PRODUCTS OF FINANCIAL ENTITIES
INSTRUCTIONS

In all forms, only information regarding savings products that are ACTIVE in the respective quarter should be reported.

Form PA-1

This form collects general information for each savings product, both for savings accounts and fixed-term deposits (FTDs). The information required for both cases is the same and is detailed below:

1. Product Name
Specify the commercial name of the savings products (in the savings account or FTD box, as applicable). Only the number of rows required should be filled; the rest must remain blank. Additional rows may be added if required.

2. Validity Dates
One of the dropdown options must be selected for the start, modification, and end boxes.

a. Start – Select the option indicating the date the product was put into production.
b. Modification – Select the date on which the last modification was made. If no modifications were made within the reporting quarter, this box must remain blank. c. End – Select the date on which the offer of the product is planned to be suspended. If no date is defined, leave this box blank.

3. Currency
Indicate the currency/currencies in which a specific savings product is offered. Mark with an X the corresponding boxes. If the "other" box is marked, specify the currency in the dotted space.

4. Balance at the end of the quarter
Indicate the balance in thousands of Bolivianos of the savings product. If the product is offered in more than one currency, the total balance must be indicated as the sum of all currencies. In any case, the balance must be expressed in thousands of Bolivianos.

5. Promotion during the quarter
Refers to promotions offered within the reporting quarter. In the box, describe the promotion (characteristics of the promotion, benefits, conditions, validity, etc.).

6. Clarifications / Observations
Box for making any clarifications or observations regarding the previous boxes or to describe any important particularity of the savings products.

Forms PA-2A and PA-2B

These forms collect information on the number of accounts, amounts, and interest rates of each savings product. In the columns, the name of each savings product must be completed in the same order of appearance as in form PA-1. Only the columns corresponding to the currencies in which each product is offered should be filled; the rest must remain empty.

In form PA-2A, information regarding savings account products must be completed, while in form PA-2B, information regarding FTD products.

The information required for both cases is the same and is detailed below:

I. Number of Accounts
a. Total number of accounts. Indicate the total number of accounts as of the reporting closing date for each savings product. b. New accounts in the quarter. Indicate the number of accounts opened for each savings product during the quarter.

II. Amounts
All amounts in this section must be expressed in Bolivianos regardless of the currency in which the product is offered.

a. Minimum Amount

1. Opening. Indicate the minimum amount to open an account under a specific savings product.
2. Benefits. Indicate the minimum balance required to benefit from the advantages of a specific product.

b. Maximum Permitted Amount. Indicate the maximum amount admitted under a specific savings product. If there is no maximum amount limit, leave this box blank.

c. Average Amount

1. Average of total accounts. Refers to the average balance of all accounts of a specific savings product as of the reporting closing date.
2. Average of new accounts in the quarter. Refers to the average balance of all accounts opened within the quarter for a specific savings product as of the reporting closing date.

III. Interest Rates Active During the Quarter The information in this section must be expressed in percentages with 2 decimal places.

a. Single (Basic). Indicate the interest rate that was active at the close of the reporting quarter. In this box, place the base passive interest rate for the savings product, without the influence of promotions or other special conditions.

If the rate depends on other factors such as term, amount, or others, and there is no single or basic rate for a specific savings product, the weighted average between the new accounts in the quarter for that product should be placed.

b. By Amount Ranges. If the interest rate depends on a minimum, maximum, or range of amounts, all amount ranges expressed in Bolivianos (e.g., From Bs0.00 to Bs10,000.00; from Bs10,000.01 to Bs100,000.00, and from Bs100,000.01 onwards) and their respective rates must be specified. Additional rows may be added if required. If the interest rate does not depend on the deposit amount, this section must remain blank.

c. By Terms. If the interest rate varies according to the deposit term (e.g., FTD), the term intervals (e.g., From 1 to 30 days, from 31 to 60 days, ..., etc.) and their respective rates must be indicated. Additional rows may be added if required. If the interest rate does not depend on the deposit term, this section must remain blank.

d. By Other Conditions. If the interest rate varies based on a condition or special promotion not specified in the previous subsections, the conditions and their respective rates must be indicated. Additional rows may be added if required. If the interest rate does not depend on any condition not specified in the previous subsections, this section must remain blank.
