Social Security Code
This Social Security Code regulates state and supplementary social insurance in Bulgaria, covering general illness, occupational accidents, maternity, unemployment, old age, and death. A key amendment, effective October 10, 2023, introduces supplementary voluntary pension insurance for Pan-European Personal Pension Products (PEPP) in accordance with EU Regulation 2019/1238.
