The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan amends the Third Schedule to the Companies Act, 2017, by inserting two new paragraphs after paragraph (4). These additions allow Medium Sized Companies to opt for IFRS notified by the Commission instead of IFRS for SMEs and Accounting Standards for NPOs. Additionally, Small Sized Companies may choose to follow IFRS notified by the Commission or IFRS for SMEs instead of revised AFRS for SSEs.
