SRO 1480 (I)/2018 Notification regarding Designated Registrars
The Registrar of Companies posted at the head office of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is designated as the registrar under clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 479 and clause (a) of section 480 of the Companies Act, 2017. If the registrar designated under section 480 and the officer authorized under that section are the same person, the Commissioner of the Company Law Division is designated as the officer authorized to hear appeals under clause (b) of section 480.

S.R.O. 1480 (I)/2018.- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 510 read with sections 479 and 480 of the Companies Act, 2017 (XIX of 2017) (the Act),the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is pleased to notify that – Registrar of Companies posted at head office of the Commission, shall be the registrar designated – (a) in terms of clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 479 of the Act; and (b) in terms of clause (a) of section 480 of the Act:
Provided that in case where the registrar designated under clause (a) of section 480 of the Act and the officer authorized under clause (b) of section 480 of the Act are the same person, the Commissioner of the Company Law Division (CLD) shall be the officer authorized to hear appeal under clause (b) of section 480 of the Act.
