This draft notification proposes substituting Rule 41 to define main classes of insurance surveyors and requiring existing licensees to apply for new licenses upon expiry, while issuing composite licenses for miscellaneous business within one year. It establishes minimum paid-up share capital requirements ranging from Rs. 1.5 million to Rs. 2 million based on the number of classes, with transitional compliance deadlines of December 31, 2017, and December 31, 2018. The amendments introduce specific fees of Rs. 7,500 for new surveyor licenses and Rs. 5,000 for renewals, alongside Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 2,000 fees for authorized surveying officers, with excess fees paid under previous rules to be refunded.
