Standard for Reform of Article 51 of the Standard on Credit Risk Management

Article 51 of the Standard on Credit Risk Management is reformed to empower the Superintendent to grant, by reasoned resolution, specific exceptions to the standard in special circumstances, except for consumer loans; to authorize the gradual constitution of provisions determined by the financial institution or instructed by the Superintendent; and to modify the information requested in Annexes 1, 2-A and 2-B. The Superintendent must inform the Board of Directors of any exceptions or gradualness authorizations. The standard enters into force upon notification, without prejudice to its subsequent publication in La Gaceta, Official Gazette.
