Statutory Returns and Instructions, Derivatives and Interpretations
Circular BIA 1/05 repeals Circular BIA 1/04 and introduces new statutory returns and instructions effective 1 April 2005 for all banking institutions. Monthly returns are now due on the 26th of each month, with March returns extended to 30 April 2005, and institutions must submit both hardcopy and electronic copies via returns@bon.com.na. The document mandates the use of specific return templates, requires certification via form BSD 999 signed by the Chief Financial Officer and Principal Officer, and prohibits the use of apostrophes in electronic submissions to ensure compatibility with the Bank Supervision Application system.
