STD Circular No. 03: Regarding uploading information related to wage earners' remittance cost to the portal on a daily basis through the RIT
The Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Bangladesh requires all scheduled banks operating in the country to collect and report transaction-level data on remittance sending costs to the bank's website via the Remittance Information System (RIT) on a daily basis. This obligation commences on January 1, 2026, with daily data submissions due by 12:00 PM the following day. Banks must also maintain and regularly update the list of their branches for this reporting purpose.

Dear Sir,
Regarding uploading information related to wage earners' remittance cost to the portal on a daily basis through the RIT.
In the interest of increasing remittance flow in the country and implementing clause 10 of the RIT, this department has been collecting and calculating data on remittance sending costs. In this regard, it has been decided to collect information on each transaction related to the cost of sending remittances regularly on the Bangladesh Bank website from 1st January, 2026 through the amended RIT (Remittance Information System).
Now, in this regard, you are advised to comply with the following instructions:
- Arrangements must be made to report data/information on each transaction related to the cost of sending remittances in accordance with the list of branches.
- Daily data/information must be uploaded to the Bangladesh Bank website through the RIT between 12:00 PM on the next day.
- Regularly inform this department regarding the updating of the list of branches.
- These instructions will be effective from 1st January, 2026.
This circular is issued with the approval of the competent authority.
