Rule · BCR · 25 Feb 2026
All natural or legal persons located within the national territory must truthfully and timely provide statistical data and information requested by authorized Central Bank personnel. Providers cannot be identified in aggregated reports, and authorized personnel must maintain strict confidentiality. The Central Bank may use various collection methods and provide facilities for non-responsive entities. Non-compliance triggers administrative sanctioning procedures, potentially resulting in fines under Article 44 of the Special Law on Statistics and Censuses. Payment of fines does not exempt entities from delivering the requested information. This norm enters into force on February 25, 2026, repealing the version approved on July 11, 2024.
