Technical Standards for the Submission of Information on Financial Education Programs or Initiatives

The Committee of Standards of the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador mandates that banks, cooperative banks, savings and credit societies, and electronic money provider societies submit semi-annual reports on their financial education programs. These electronic submissions, including supporting evidence, are due within the first twenty business days of January and July each year. The regulations require detailed data on program structure, target segments, and participant numbers disaggregated by sex, age, and department. Non-compliance with these reporting obligations is subject to sanctions under the Law of Supervision and Regulation of the Financial System.
