Temporary Suspension of RTS 27 Reporting Obligation by Execution Venues
The periodic reporting obligation under RTS 27 for execution venues is temporarily suspended until 28 February 2023. ESMA expects National Competent Authorities not to prioritize supervisory actions against execution venues from 1 March 2023 until the forthcoming legislative amendment to Article 27(3) of MiFID II becomes applicable. This measure addresses the expectation that the reporting obligation will re-apply after the suspension expires but only temporarily until its expected abolishment.
