The Salvadoran economy maintains solid growth of 5.2% in June 2026

The Salvadoran economy's Economic Activity Volume Index (IVAE) registered a year-on-year growth of 5.2% in June 2026, with Construction (10.7%), Government Services (8.0%), and Information and Communications (7.8%) being among the top-performing sectors. This performance contributed to an average IVAE growth of 4.6% for the first half of 2026, accelerating from 3.0% in the same period of 2025. The Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador projects the country's economic growth, measured by GDP, to be between 4.5% and 5.0% for the full year 2026.
