The Parliament of Kenya enacted this Act to establish, regulate, and control state corporations and their financial management. The legislation defines the President's authority to create corporations, mandates ministerial oversight, and sets strict rules for board composition, financial estimates, and asset disposal. It further establishes the Inspector-General for Corporations to audit practices and the State Corporations Appeal Tribunal to adjudicate disputes arising from regulatory decisions.
