Treasury Bills (Amendment) Act, 2020
The Government of Belize enacted the Treasury Bills (Amendment) Act, 2020 to modify the maturity limits for Treasury Notes. This legislation amends Section 2 of the principal Treasury Bills Act by replacing the previous ten-year maximum maturity with a new twenty-year limit. The amendment was gazetted on March 25, 2020, to extend the duration of government debt instruments.
