TTSEC AML-CFT Guidelines for the Securities Sector

The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission requires all Registrants, including Broker-Dealers, Investment Advisers, and Underwriters, to implement these Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism guidelines within six months of issuance. The document mandates the adoption of a risk-based approach, establishing minimum standards for internal policies, customer due diligence, record keeping, and suspicious activity reporting. Registrants must conduct their 2019 external audits using this revised framework, with non-compliance subject to enforcement actions under the Securities Act 2012.
