The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Regulation No 24-06 to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for relevant exposures in Luxembourg during the fourth quarter of 2024. This decision follows a recommendation from the Systemic Risk Committee, which cited economic uncertainty, high interest rates, and slowing loan dynamics as reasons to preserve credit institutions' resilience despite a negative credit-to-GDP gap. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Journal officiel du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
