Guidelines amending EBA GL on Fraud reporting under PSD2

Payment service providers under PSD2, excluding account information service providers, must report half-yearly fraud data to competent authorities using specified Data Breakdowns, with transactions initiated or executed from 01.07.2020. Competent authorities must aggregate this data and send it to the ECB and the EBA within six months of the reporting period end. These guidelines amend EBA/GL/2018/05, requiring providers to report reasons for not applying strong customer authentication and specific cash withdrawal data. Competent authorities must notify the EBA of compliance status by submitting a form to compliance@eba.europa.eu with reference ‘EBA/GL/2020/01’ within two months of translation publication.
