2021-07-12 | Règlement BCL 2021/N°30Added
The Central Bank of Luxembourg mandates credit institutions, electronic money institutions, payment institutions, and Post Luxembourg to collect and transmit monthly payment statistics, including transaction volumes, fraud losses, and instrument counts, via XML files through SOFIE or FINESTI channels. Reporting deadlines are set at ten business days for transactional and stock reports, and two months plus ten business days for fraud reports, with data collection commencing for the January 2022 reference period. The regulation replaces the 2011 Regulation No. 9, establishes a twenty-four-month data retention period, and empowers the BCL to publish contraventions and impose sanctions for non-compliance.
