CSSF Regulation No 24-09 on the setting of the countercyclical buffer rate for the first quarter of 2025
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Regulation No 24-09 to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for relevant exposures in Luxembourg during the first quarter of 2025. This decision follows a recommendation from the Systemic Risk Committee, which cited economic uncertainty, declining credit trends, and persistent real estate market risks as justification for preserving institutional resilience. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Journal officiel du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
