Counter Terrorism Act 2014

The Legislative Assembly of Samoa enacted the Counter Terrorism Act 2014 to repeal previous legislation and implement United Nations Security Council resolutions and international conventions. The Act defines terrorist acts, establishes procedures for designating specified entities, and creates criminal offenses for activities such as financing terrorism, hostage-taking, and unlawful seizure of aircraft. It further empowers authorities to manage and forfeit terrorist property while providing mechanisms for the arrest and extradition of suspected foreign terrorists.
