International Obligations (Economic and Ancillary Measures) (Amendment) Act 2019
The Parliament of The Bahamas enacted this amendment to integrate United Nations Security Council resolutions and foreign unilateral sanctions into domestic law. Section 3A grants immediate legal force to UN Security Council sanctions, mandating asset reporting, freezing, and cooperation with forfeiture proceedings. Section 3B empowers the Governor-General to issue orders for implementing foreign unilateral sanctions while authorizing the Attorney-General to direct regulatory agencies to search databases and report findings.
