Regulation on Assets and Conditional Commitments Classification No. 231
The National Bank of Moldova issued Regulation No. 231 to standardize the classification and reporting of assets and conditional commitments across its supervised financial institutions. Effective January 1, 2012, the regulation mandates banks to apply uniform categorization criteria and update their accounting frameworks accordingly. Registered with the Ministry of Justice in December 2011, it establishes binding operational guidelines that enhance transparency and regulatory consistency within Moldova's banking sector.
