Banco de Portugal issued Circular Letter No. CC/2021/00000058 to inform regulated entities of the revision of the joint EBA/ESMA Guidelines on the assessment of the adequacy of members of management bodies and key function holders. The document mandates that credit institutions, investment firms, and other supervised entities adopt necessary measures to comply with these revised standards. Compliance with these updated requirements is mandatory starting from 31 December 2021.
