Directive regarding direct listing of unlisted securities

DIRECTIVE

Whereas, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission is satisfied that in the interest of investors or securities market or for the development of securities market, it is necessary to issue a directive to the stock exchanges in respect of direct listing of unlisted securities;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by section 20A of the Securities and Exchange Ordinance, 1969 (XVII of 1969), the Commission hereby directs the following, namely:-

The Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and the Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited shall not exercise the provisions of Regulations 8 to 13 of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (Listing) Regulations, 2015 and Regulations 8 to 13 of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (Listing) Regulations, 2015 respectively, for direct listing of the unlisted securities of a company which is not owned by the Government.
