Bank Indonesia Governor issued Regulation Number 20/12/PBI/2018 to amend the implementation mechanisms for domestic non-deliverable forward transactions as a monetary operation instrument. The regulation introduces specific sanctions for Central Market Operator participants who fail to meet obligations on conventional foreign exchange transactions, including payment penalties calculated with basis point margins and temporary suspensions. Additionally, a new Article 75A establishes a five-day suspension sanction for participants whose transactions are called for three times within six months, with exemptions for certain intraday liquidity facility transactions.
