The Reserve Bank of Fiji issued Banking Supervision Policy Statement No: 5A to mandate specific public disclosure requirements for licensed banks under the Banking Act 1995. The policy requires banks to prepare and publish Key and General Disclosure Statements containing detailed financial data on profitability, capital adequacy, and asset quality within four months of the financial year-end. These disclosures must be made available in the Fiji Republic Gazette, local newspapers, and at bank branches to promote market discipline and financial transparency.
