The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision on April 28, 2021, to put into circulation new 2021-issued coinage denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 fening and 1 convertible mark. This regulation mandates that all public and private entities within Bosnia and Herzegovina must accept these coins as legal tender at their nominal value for cash transactions and debt settlement. The coins are to be introduced into circulation successively by the Central Bank based on inventory levels and an issuance plan, with the decision becoming effective eight days after its publication in official gazettes.
