The Financial and Monetary Policy and Regulation Board amends Chapter VI and Chapter VII of the Codification of Monetary, Financial, Securities, and Insurance Resolutions to update investment classification criteria and mandatory investment limits for private insurance and reinsurance companies. The resolution replaces definitions for financial and non-financial corporate titles, adds a category for multilateral and supranational debt, and revises maximum investment percentages for public sector securities, private financial sector obligations, collective investment funds, and sovereign issuers, requiring a minimum AA+ credit rating for most private and public instruments. It also introduces a new article allowing non-mandatory investments that meet internal risk parameters and eliminates the previous Fourth Transitional Provision, which is renumbered as the Fourth.
