The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued Circular No: 35/03/016/007/003 to establish a revised time schedule for auctions under Open Market Operations. The new schedule mandates that Overnight and Short-Term Repurchase auctions for Licensed Commercial Banks and the Employees’ Provident Fund occur between 10:00 and 10:30 hrs, while Liquidity Support Facility auctions for Standalone Primary Dealers are scheduled from 11:00 to 11:30 hrs. This revised schedule becomes effective on 06 September 2019, requiring all participating institutions to comply with these specific auction and settlement times.
