Master Circular for Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued this Master Circular to consolidate all applicable directions for Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations up to August 31, 2023. The document rescinds previous circulars listed in Schedule I while ensuring that actions, pending applications, and liabilities arising under those rescinded rules remain legally valid. It supersedes the prior Master Circular from July 2021 and establishes definitions based on relevant securities statutes and regulations.
