Latvijas Banka issued Regulation No 209 to establish standardized requirements and procedures for credit institutions to compile and electronically submit monthly statistical data on credit exposures and involved parties such as collateral providers and creditors. The regulation mandates submission within ten business days following the end of each calendar month, specifies detailed data fields for interbank exposures, factoring debtors, and unauthorized overdrafts, and aligns reporting obligations with ECB Regulation 2016/867 and the national Credit Register. Effective January 1, 2023, this regulation repeals the previous 2018 framework and requires institutions to store the submitted data indefinitely while correcting any errors within three business days of discovery.
