The document clarifies that exclusive panels for appellate arbitration are not required, allowing members to serve on both arbitration and appellate panels provided they are not used for the same matter. It modifies provisions regarding the place of arbitration, allowing proceedings for awards over Rs. 50 lakhs to occur in the nearest metro city at the party's cost, and updates interim relief thresholds from the Investor Protection Fund (IPF) for claims up to Rs. 20 lakhs. Specifically, interim relief is capped at 50% of the claim or Rs. 2 lakhs, with subsequent releases for appellate arbitration and Section 34 applications capped at 50% or Rs. 3 lakhs, and 75% or Rs. 5 lakhs respectively, subject to a total annual limit of Rs. 10 lakhs per client. Additionally, additional fees charged for late-filed claims must be deposited into the respective Stock Exchange's IPF, with these provisions effective from January 1, 2022.
