Amendments to Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Regulations, 2018
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan amends Regulation 40(2) of the Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Regulations, 2018, to accept translated documents that are apostilled by the designated competent authority of the state of origin. This acceptance applies only if the state of origin has acceded to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention and is recognized by the Government of Pakistan for receiving such apostilled documents. The amendment replaces the final punctuation of the existing proviso with a colon and adds this new condition to facilitate the recognition of foreign public documents.
