Draft Amendments to Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Regulations, 2018 regarding Apostille Convention
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan proposes draft amendments to the Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Regulations, 2018. These amendments introduce a new proviso to regulation 40, sub-regulation (2), allowing for the acceptance of translated documents if they are apostillised by the competent authority of the foreign document's state of origin. This is applicable only if the state has acceded to the Hague Convention of 1961 and is recognized by the Government of Pakistan for accepting apostillised documents. The public is invited to submit suggestions or objections within fourteen days of the draft's publication.
