Anti-Vishing Information Sharing via ASAP Available for Financial, Telecom and Investigation Data

Revised rules under the Special Act on the Prevention of Loss Caused by Telecommunications-based Financial Fraud and Refund for Loss and its Enforcement Decree will take effect from August 4, 2026. These rules authorize financial companies, telecom service providers, and investigation authorities to share voice phishing (vishing)-related information via the AI-based Anti-Phishing Sharing and Analysis Platform (ASAP) without data subject consent. The scope of participating entities is expanded to include various financial and telecom entities, and the types of shareable information now include account details, phone numbers, malicious app data, and suspicious transaction activities. The Financial Security Institute (FSI) has been selected as the ASAP operator.
