Auditors (Reporting Obligations) Regulations, 2018
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan mandates specific formats for auditor reports on financial statements, consolidated financial statements, quarterly reviews, and corporate governance compliance for companies, banks, insurers, and securities or futures brokers. The regulations require auditors to issue these reports using designated annexures and make the inclusion of a Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) mandatory on all such reports. These obligations apply to reporting periods ending on or after June 30, 2018, with contraventions subject to penalties under the Companies Act, 2017.
