AUSTRAC orders Cryptolink’s crypto ATMs offline
AUSTRAC has suspended Cryptolink Pty Ltd’s registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider for three months, effective from Sunday 9 August 2026. The suspension prohibits the entity from operating its 96 cryptocurrency automatic teller machines across Australia due to failures in meeting basic reporting obligations, specifically regarding threshold transaction reports. This action follows an enforceable undertaking accepted in October 2025 and a paid infringement notice of $56,340 issued for alleged contraventions of anti-money laundering laws.
