AUSTRAC orders Cryptolink's crypto ATMs offline
AUSTRAC has suspended Cryptolink Pty Ltd’s registration for three months, effective from Sunday, August 9, prohibiting the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) from operating its 96 cryptocurrency automatic teller machines (CATMs) across Australia. This action was taken due to Cryptolink's failure to meet anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) obligations, specifically not submitting required threshold transaction reports and not responding to AUSTRAC's requests for information. Cryptolink had previously entered into an enforceable undertaking in October 2025 and paid a $56,340 infringement notice for alleged contraventions of AML laws.
