The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum issued the ASEAN Sustainable and Responsible Fund Standards to establish minimum disclosure and reporting requirements for collective investment schemes seeking to qualify as sustainable funds. The standards mandate that funds maintain at least two-thirds of their net asset value in sustainable investments and require comprehensive transparency regarding investment strategies, compliance policies, and sustainability risks. Additionally, the framework necessitates regular public reporting on performance against benchmarks and the removal of non-compliant funds from the official ACMF registry to mitigate greenwashing risks.
