Bahamas Securities Commission Notice on Removal of Walid Hamid Tawfiq al-Tikriti from UN Sanctions List
Licensees and registrants of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas must remove Walid Hamid Tawfiq al-Tikriti from their internal lists of United Nations designated entities and individuals. This requirement follows the Security Council Committee's decision on 5 October 2023 to delete his entry from the UN Sanctions List under resolution 1518 (2003). Regulated entities are further required to maintain accurate records and regularly consult official UNSC websites to ensure continued compliance with Security Council resolutions.
