Basic authorisation application procedure
The statutory consideration period for an application to be authorised as an insurer is thirteen weeks, starting upon receipt of a complete application. Processing may be suspended if information is missing or additional questions arise, resuming only when all relevant information is provided. If an applicant fails to supplement the application sufficiently, consideration may cease within four weeks. Applicants are advised to contact the Expert Centre on Market Access to announce applications and inquire about expected processing times.
