BCB Resolution No. 466 — Amends BCB Resolution No. 3 of August 12, 2020, regarding authorization for agency installation and information on financial institution branches

BCB RESOLUTION
NO. 466, OF APRIL 30, 2025

Amends BCB Resolution No. 3, of August 12, 2020, which provides for information and procedures for authorization to install agencies in the country and for the provision of information on branches of financial institutions and other institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil.

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on April 30, 2025, based on Art. 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, and considering the provisions of Art. 14, caput, item II, of Resolution No. 4,072, of April 26, 2012,

RESOLVES:

Art. 1º BCB Resolution No. 3, of August 12, 2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on August 13, 2020, shall enter into force with the following alterations:

Art. 5º The institutions mentioned in Art. 1º must send to the Central Bank of Brazil updated information regarding the identification and location of their branches.

Sole Paragraph. The Central Bank of Brazil will publish the format and specifications for the submission of the information referred to in this article.” (NR)

Art. 2º Items I, II, and III of Art. 5º of BCB Resolution No. 3, of August 12, 2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on August 13, 2020, are hereby repealed.

Art. 3º This Resolution enters into force on May 5, 2025.
