2025-08-28 | Resolução BCB 493Added · Updated
This resolution amends Resolution BCB No. 1 to restructure the Pix Forum by defining specific working groups and granting the Forum Coordinator authority to establish additional groups with specific objectives. It enhances the Special Return Mechanism by mandating immediate fund blocking upon notification of infringement and detailing the operational procedures for value recovery, including the creation of automatic infringement notifications. Pix participants must implement the value recovery functionality optionally by November 23, 2025, and mandatorily for account provider and special liquidator modalities by February 2, 2026. The resolution also updates definitions for Pix keys and security mechanisms, with most provisions taking immediate effect while the mandatory implementation deadline for value recovery takes effect on February 2, 2026.
