2025-09-05 | Resolução BCB 497Added
BCB Resolution No. 497 amends BCB Resolution No. 256 to prohibit institutions connecting to the National Financial System Network (RSFN) via an Information Technology Service Provider (PSTI) from issuing TEDs of R$15,000 or more, unless the PSTI has completed accreditation with the Central Bank and the institution provides an independent assurance report confirming specific security controls. The resolution also revokes the sole paragraph of Article 1 of the original resolution and allows the Central Bank to grant a temporary 90-day waiver of the limit if the institution demonstrates adequate security measures. These changes apply to financial institutions authorized to operate by the Central Bank of Brazil and take effect upon publication.
