2026-08-24 | Resolução BCB 585Added
This resolution establishes the ISO 13616 (IBAN) standard as the mandatory format for identifying bank accounts maintained in Brazil for international fund transfers. It defines the 29-character IBAN structure, including country code, check digits, ISPB, branch number, account number, account type, and holder identification. Financial institutions are required to provide IBAN identifiers to clients upon request and to accept transfers using this format. The resolution revokes Circular No. 3,625 of February 14, 2013, and enters into force on the date of its publication.
