The Collegiate Board of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on September 30, 2026, based on Article 10 of Law No. 10,214, of March 27, 2001, and Articles 3, 5, caput, item I, and 12, of CMN Resolution No. 4,952, of September 30, 2021, and considering the provisions of Article 14 of Provisional Measure No. 1,394, of September 25, 2026,
R E S O L V E:
Article 1. BCB Resolution No. 256, of November 1, 2022, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on November 4, 2022, shall enter into force with the following alterations:
“Article 4-A. Issuing and receiving institutions of the TED are obligated, from the date of publication of Provisional Measure No. 1,394, of September 25, 2026, to prevent the processing, settlement, and facilitation of transactions destined for fixed-quota lotteries.
Sole paragraph. The provisions of the caput do not apply to transactions necessary for the closing of operations and the refund of values to bettors, in accordance with Article 14, caput, of Provisional Measure No. 1,394, of September 25, 2026.” (NR)
Article 2. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
