2013-03-20 | RESOLUCIÓN DE DIRECTORIO Nº 022/2013Added · Updated
The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Articles 5, 8, 10, 16, and 28 of the Regulation on Electronic Payment Instruments to expand the scope of authorized operations and definitions. The changes allow electronic payment instruments to be linked to participation accounts of open-end investment funds and permit cash withdrawals and quota redemptions from these funds via ATMs and other channels. The resolution updates definitions to include mobile wallets and participation accounts, clarifies acceptance criteria for transactions, and mandates that payment accounts cannot be closed or suspended while the instrument is active or holds funds.
