Board Resolution No. 176/2015
The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Article 14 of the Regulation on Monetization, Distribution, and Destruction of Monetary Material to allow the destruction process to be supervised by a Public Notary in addition to the Government Notary. This modification authorizes the Bank to contract notarial services from one or more public notaries in accordance with the Basic Norms of the System for the Administration of Goods and Services. The amended rule requires that the two designated supervisors oversee the entire destruction process and sign the corresponding minutes documenting the cuts, package counts, piece counts, destroyed value, and sampling verification. The modification enters into force upon the approval of this Resolution.
