BRPD Circular Letter No. 54: Name change of Dhaka Bank Ltd to Dhaka Bank PLC
The Bangladesh Bank has officially changed the name of the scheduled bank 'Dhaka Bank Limited' to 'Dhaka Bank PLC', effective from Thursday, November 9, 2023. This change is implemented under Section 11K(a) of the Companies Act, 1994 and Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are notified of this update and provided with a copy of the relevant gazette notification for their records and necessary action.
