BRPD Circular Letter No. 65: Name change of Bengal Commercial Bank Ltd to Bengal Commercial Bank PLC.
Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'Bengal Commercial Bank Limited' to 'Bengal Commercial Bank PLC.' in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Tuesday, 28 November 2023. This change was made in accordance with Section 11A(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, and Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. All scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh are informed of this name change and are required to take necessary action.
